The existing kitchen window was made wider with the use of steelwork to create the entrance/hallway into the new kitchen extension.

The rear wall separating the utility room and kitchen extension was built as a cavity filled parapet wall off dedicated foundations and inspected for building regulations with a view to it being built up to form the new rear wall of a first floor extension at a later date.
