A full survey of the building was made and it was established the building needed listed building approval.

A full survey of the building was made and it was established the building needed listed building approval, planning permission and as the rear wall needed opening up into the new area, building regulation approval would also need to be gained.

As always with old properties there were many issues to resolve and accommodate. For the Heritage team something they were well used to.

We replaced the floor in the existing kitchen at the same time with modern insulation and damp courses.

As the existing floor tiles were laid directly onto the ground it was decided to replace the floor in the existing kitchen at the same time with modern insulation and damp courses. The end gable wall and new roof would also need supporting if the existing wall was to come out.
